We welcome feedback on this website and about the church. Positive criticism always welcome.

Chapel A is committed to making a difference in the community of Chapel Allerton.

An emphasis is placed on the need for each person to witness to Jesus Christ in their place of work, school or college, home and neighbourhood.

This is supplemented through initiatives in which the whole church participates. Currently Chapel A is involved in:

Community Prayer

Members of Chapel A visit homes and offer to pray with people in the community.

Chapel Allerton Arts Festival

Chapel A has always contributed to the hugely popular annual arts festival. In past years we have:

  • created a hugh photoboard of polaroid pictures, showing the links that people have with each other
  • encouraged kids up a climbing wall
  • given away books, and even
  • set out a massive Chapel-A-Opoly board for people to go round.
  • built a Cemera Obscura from a shed to make people think about the upside-down values of God's Kingdom.

Carols in the Park

For twelve years now Chapel A has hosted the annual pre-Christimas Carol Service in Chapel Allerton. The stage, lights, mince pies, music, choir and screen make this a sepctacular community event. In what is seen as Chapel A's gift to the community, re-worked carols are given a contemporary flavour. With readings, kids' nativity and a Christmas message, the 2,000+ people who attend are left in no doubt as to what this time of year celebrates.
